sleep + computational research
Work on automated sleep staging and experimental EEG/EMG analysis, including parsing recordings, comparing automated Wake/NREM/REM classifications with human-corrected scores, and examining how classifier behavior shifts across experimental conditions.
The current thread is validation — establishing where automated scores can be used directly, and where an experiment's interpretation would change if they were.

how representative is human biometric data?
Craniofacial variation among Sri Lanka's Indigenous Vedda community. I built and analyzed an original craniofacial dataset and examined how variation is distributed across the population.
The work resulted in a first-author publication in the International Journal of Morphology. It was a morphology study, not a machine learning one — but the question of whose bodies end up inside reference datasets is part of why I still think about it.
cultural anthropology
Interviews with members of Sri Lanka's Indigenous Vedda community examining changes and continuities in religion and worldview, with accompanying ethnographic and autoethnographic work.
anticancer research
Computational and chemistry work investigating arsenoplatins, including SwissTargetPrediction to explore potential targets and SwissADME to examine properties including solubility.
earlier research
A research internship in Food Science and Nutrition involving measurement of fasted blood glucose and exposure to wet-lab methods.
